"The Canadian Ultimate Championship is a once a year celebration of ultimate shared between old rivals and new friends. There is no other tourney that links the ultimate communities from across the country, and in August the Edmonton ultimate community hosted the 15th edition of this event."

That's the opening paragraph to the CUC coverage in the Fall edition of Chasing Plastic. If you want the rest of the story, you'll have to order the mag.

A CUC statistic: ten teams participate in the finals in any given year (two teams each in five divisions). Furious George and Prime were not in attendance this year because of World Games, making it possible that 8 teams could repeat appearances in the finals. Seven of them did repeat. An interesting stat; or completely useless trivia...

As for the photos, it's mostly finals action; I played the rest of the week. The Masters final was scheduled when I had a game; I was trying to coach during the Juniors final. The Mixed photos are all shot by Paul Norgaard with my gear.
