Approaching the field for the first time, you wonder at the people gathered here. Anticipation and excitement prevail as you meet your teammates for the tournament ahead. Warming up together, figuring out how you'll fit into the mix, learning different plays and strategies all contribute to why you are here. Playing a hat tournament reaffirms the reasons you started playing ultimate. In Maui I found myself in league with a school of porcupine fish.

Sometime during the weekend one of us puffer fish came up with this inspirational cheer. It may not have reflected in our record but we were mean! Okay, we had a lot of fun together. Here's a non-lethal taste.
